You may remember Mara & Brendan from their Oakland/ East Liberty engagement session this past spring. For their wedding, they chose Phipps Conservatory for their ceremony and PPG Aquarium for their reception. I've shot at Phipps quite a few times before and it's always beautiful. However, I was really looking forward to the aquarium as I hadn't shot a wedding there before. Mara got ready at Hotel Indigo in East Liberty, which is a modern hotel with a very chic retro vibe to it. It was also my first time shooting here and I must say I really enjoyed it. After a quick ceremony at Phipps we headed to over to the aquarium. We met up with Dave who took us in a cart to get photos around the zoo. It was closed to the public at that time, so being the only people there was really cool. The lions and cheetahs were even out to greet us! Once we arrived at the aquarium the ambiance was just awesome. Being surrounded by exotic fish and reptiles while at a wedding was certainly an original experience. Thank you Mara & Brendan for allowing me to capture your big day!
